Lewis Lifetime Tools, Yard Butler’s 60-year-old parent company, was founded by my father, Jim Wright, who was a lifelong gardener and the original Yard Butler. Jim got his start as the youngest of four tending the family’s “Victory Garden” during WWII.

Founded by a lifelong gardener, Yard Butler aims to enhance better living through gardening. Gardening relieves stress, provides a sense of control, and offers a break from the pressures of our high-tech world. It's a great way to get the recommended 30 minutes of daily exercise, helping to lower blood pressure and burn calories.
Yard Butler invests in sustainability. In our factory, we’ve added solar panels, efficient lighting, and a system to recycle 100% of wastewater. Our new powder coating system cuts energy use by 60%.
Based in the San Diego area, our manufacturing plants are located in Tijuana, Mexico, where we are grateful for and proud of the dedicated work of our 120-plus member team.
